Direction of my chosen building
My Chosen building for Experiment 2 is Barcelona Pavilion. I will explore the building's structure and its use of materials in order to reflect this in my model to capture its essence and realistic setting. The building's use of hidden structure system and understanding of this will be the challenging part of this project. In order to understand the building and its detail, I have looked into its plans & structure plan to analyse its hidden structures.

Walls layout
Drawings showing its structure column detail
Building's signature column detail in Mirror S/S
I will further investigating the building's material and how it decays in natural form. Also how the building's architecture may fail in 100 year time.

Week 3 Task
However I have encountered some problems in using the Ray fire plug in which showed such error message as below.
This has been asked to Vinh, to quote;
"The main issue with rayfire is the “destination” of the installation path. Make sure it installs to YOUR 3ds max folder. Sometimes it is called “3ds max design”, but other times it is called “3ds max architecture” or “3ds max”"
Issue has been resolved.

Importing House from Max to Cry
During my exercise in importing the Max file to Cry, I was kept on getting the same error messages when trying to do the Import.
This was the error message I was shown.
This was asked to Vinh via email and the solution this error was quite simple.
As quoted from Vinh, "That error is common. It means that some of the triangles in your model are made of 4 vertices, not 3.
It will be on the parts of the model that you have not yet "reconstructed". Try to remove any of the old parts from the mesh that you are exporting. Only export remodelled parts."
So complicated trying to handle both programs!
